MOTION NO. 6
QUESTION: Councillor L. O'Toole
"To ask the Chief Executive to arrange for the following to be examined, this was also raised via members net;
Please find below a request to fix the flood situation on Newcastle Road at the traffic lights / junction if you could have this area examined and repaired.
“I wonder could you resolve the problem on the path near the traffic lights on the Adamstown Road see the attached photo.
When it rains it causes a flood of water also a muck bed. Because the path is narrow at that point it makes life harder for people with buggies and people in general to get by. It can be very dangerous if it is icy in winter time. There is no proper drainage to allow the water to flow into also you will notice a slope on the right hand side near the road. I wonder could you please bring this to the notice of the council department that deals with such matters.”
REPLY:
The Area Engineer has been requested to investigate the drainage problem and carry out any necessary repairs.
