COMHAIRLE CONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

MOTION NO. 10
MOTION: Councillor L. Dunne
This area calls on the Chief Executive to install kissing gates at all access walk ways leading into Jobstown's river for the purpose of deterring quads and scramblers from gaining access.
REPORT:
The green areas which run alongside the Jobstown Stream are bounded by a low stub wall in most places and it is therefore very unlikely that kissing gates erected on walkways would prevent scramblers from accessing the stream, as they can easily cross the low wall in many locations. This matter will be examined further to determine the full extent of works required to resolve this problem.
