QUESTION: Councillor C. King

"To ask the Chief Executive to provide for the installation of a lampstandard in the vicinity of the right of way between Westpark Estate and "High Street" Tallaght beside the Abberley Court Hotel to improve public safety for pedestrians using this route daily and nightly. That this Committee recognises and thanks the Chief Executive for arranging the removal of the large trees at this location which has improved matters somewhat and is very much appreciated by residents?"

REPLY:

This matter has been referred to the Council's Public Lighting Section for examination and provision of a cost estimate.  The matter will be considered for inclusion in the Public Realm Improvement Works Programme for 2020, which will be presented to the Tallaght area committee in January of next year.
