MOTION: Councillor L. Dunne

This Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to install steel railing similar to the one erected recently between Sundale and Russell Square, at the greenspace at the end of Rossfield Ave and Glenshane Estate.

REPORT:

This matter has been examined however the exact location where the railing is required at Rossfield and Glenshane estates could not be identified with certainty, the request can be examined further once the exact location has been clarified.  There is provision in the Council's Capital Programme for 2019 for installation of railings and other boundary treatments at various parks around the County and part of this allocation will be spent on erection of railings around part of Jobstown Park at Glenshane Estate.  The location mentioned here has not been included in the list of locations approved for works in 2019 by the elected members, however it can be considered for inclusion in the programme of works for the future if deemed to be necessary.
