QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor
To ask the Chief Executive if he has had any contact from NTA in respect of their Bus Connects proposals as they might affect the Greenhills Road; will he appreciate the concern of local communities in respect of the issue and will he make a statement.
REPLY:
The Bus Connects project is an ongoing process aiming to deliver 230kms of dedicated bus lanes and 200kms of cycle tracks along 16 of the busiest corridors in the greater dublin area.
The proposals can be viewed on the Bus Connects website.
The Greenhills to City Centre corridor is part of Phase 2 with a Public Consultation period ending on 30th April 2019.A public consultation information event was held in the Red Cow Moran Hotel, Naas Road on the 26th February 2019.
Major works are planned for the Greenhills Road including re-alignment between Mayberry Road and Tymon Lane.
Submissions/observations may be made as follows:
SDCC is examining the proposals and may make a submission before the closing date of 30th April. If Members wish to contribute to this they may do so.
