"That this Area Committee requests that a wall with a kissing gate be built to replace the bollards between the Westbourne Drive and Westbourne Lawn in order to stop stolen cars, quads and scramblers that have been driving through them."

REPORT:

The area between Westbourne Drive and Westbourne Lawn is currently protected by a line of 9 bollards, two of which are located on the footpath. While the bollards assist to restrict access for cars it was noted that the spacing between a number of bollards was excessive and may permit vehicle access. It is proposed to address this issue by the provision of additional bollards. The Public Realm Section do not provided kissing gates on public footpaths.
