QUESTION NO. 2

QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor

To ask the Chief Executive to confirm any recent contacts made with the Fettercairn Estate Management Group regarding matters of concern to the Group in relation to crime, vandalism and anti social behavior in Fettercairn Estate and will he make a statement in respect of the matter.

REPLY:

The Council remains committed to working with the Fettercairn Estate Management Committee and have agreed works for the further enhancement of the Fettercairn area including Springtime planting and landscaping. A caravan that was illegally parked was removed from Drumcairn Green recently.

The Anti-Social Unit continue to liaise with Tallaght Gardai and the Drug squad on a regular basis. A number of recent drug raids have been carried out by Gardai in the Fettercairn area and the Anti-Social Unit  are awaiting the results of these and any appropriate action will then be taken where necessary.
