QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney
"To ask the Chief Executive for an update on the delivery of social housing in the area under the remit of this Committee, and to make a statement on the matter."
REPLY:
The Council have an active housing supply programme under the Build, Acquisition and Leasing mechanisms. A total of 75 units are on the programme for capital housing delivery in 2019. The Council also continue to support new HAP and RAS tenancies throughout the county.
The next tranche of the housing construction programme is progressing with two schemes in this Local Electoral Area with Part 8 approval which are progressing to tender in 2019. Further projects are currently at pre-planning design and will be brought to Part 8 planning consultation in Q2 2019. The reports below set out the current projects and the status of each.
A new quarterly housing supply report will be presented under a headed item to the members at this meeting.
