QUESTION: Councillor E. Murphy

"To ask the Chief Executive when the remainder of Whitechurch Estate will be listed on the Tree Programme?"

REPLY:

Whitechurch Way is listed in the 2017-19 Tree Maintenance Programme.  The works included the removal of 8 trees and pruning of others.The tree maintenance crew commenced work in the estate, however due to resistance from local residents,  work ceased. It is proposed to contact the Residents Association to outline the rational for removing the trees and the future plans for tree management in the estate prior to any further work taking place in the estate.
