MOTION: Councillor P. Foley

"In 2015, the long-awaited maintenance of a row of Leylandii trees on Cypress Grove South was cancelled at the last minute as it seemed that the lands were not taken in charge by SDCC.  It appears that the area where the trees are located has now been taken in charge (see attached).

One of the trees is dead and causing safety issues and others have grown to enormous heights. That this Area Committee agrees to have maintenance works expedited on these trees."

REPORT:

The area at the rear of 30-40 Cypress Grove South has been taken in charge.  The large tree was examined and will be scheduled for removal. It is proposed to list the leylandii for removal in a future tree management programme and then grass the area.
