"That this Area Committee asks the Chief Executive to conduct remedial works to pathway between Castlefield and Glenvara Estates and to add the project to the programme of works for 2019."

REPORT:

The footpath across the green space between Glenvara and Castlefield estates has been examined and grass encroachment found to have occurred over much of the length of the path.  This matter will be addressed in due course.  The surface of the footpath is in reasonably good condition for the most part and is not considered to be in immediate need of attention.  As the improvement works programme for 2019 was approved by the members at the February Council meeting and the budgetary provision for that programme is fully allocated it is proposed that the footpath at Glenvara/Castlefield will be considered for a complete overlay in the improvement works programme for next year, that is 2020.
