MOTION: Councillor S. Holland

That this Area Committee requests the Chief Executive to provide an update on the status of the Whitechurch Library.

REPORT:

The Library Service have agreed with the Community Department that they will administer the use of the building going forward. The WEB Project continues to work from the building and there will be other residencies such as music, local studies and other appropriate projects. Given the building's history, it is the intention to retain some book stock for casual use by local people.
