MOTION NO. 4
MOTION: Councillor D. Looney
"That this Area Committee calls on the Chief Executive to ensure that all aspects of the agreed planning permission at Wilkins Court, Greenhills, Dublin 12 are adhered to, including a boundary fence and other works to protect Greenhills Park."
REPORT:
Planning permission was granted to Jackie Green Construction Limited at the site of St. Paul's Campus, bounded by Limekiln Lane, Greenhills Park under register reference SD15A/0005 for the construction of 61 residential units and associated infrastructure.
Boundary treatment is indicated on the submitted drawings as a 2m high steel railings and posts with 2m high bollarded entrance to the Park. Conditions attached to the permission state that:
A Landscape Architect shall be retained by the applicant, owner or developer for the duration of the development project, to pay periodic site visits to ensure that construction works will not compromise the proposed landscape development, to ensure adequate protection of the existing hedgerows approved for retention and to supervise the implementation of the landscape plans from start to finish.
A further condition is included in the permission which requires the developer to submit a certificate of effective completion for the landscape scheme in accordance with the requirements of the Council's Parks and Landscape Services Section, such certificate to be prepared by the Landscape Architect for the project.
The Planning Authority has no reason to believe that the development will not be implemented in accordance with the permission.
