MOTION: Councillor V. Casserly

That this Area Committee call on the Chief Executive to have a litter management/clearing of Griffeen Park Lucan in the near future.

REPORT:

Griffeen Valley Park is picked on a regular basis as part of routine works carried out in the area. At this time of the year litter can become more visible in hedgerows and shrubberies which previously was obscured by the presence of vegetation. The vegetation not only hides the litter but can also restrict access which can account for it not being picked earlier. A cleanup of the park will take place in March.
