QUESTION: Councillor L. O'Toole

"To ask the Chief Executive to report on the number of housing maintenance requests for the Lucan area and to list the outstanding works to date. To include the average waiting time for these works?"

REPLY:

The number of Housing Maintenance requests received for the Lucan area from 01/01/2019 to 19/02/2019 was 250 requests.

Under GDPR Housing Maintenance cannot list addresses with outstanding works.  There are however 187 requests still to be completed. These requests are made up of the following works, Plumbing, Blocked manholes, Heating, Roofing, AJ blocked, window / door inspections, kitchen cabinets inspection.

Housing Maintenance requests are categorised as follows:

Category              Timescale                              Example

Emergency            1-5 working days                Smoking fuse board

Urgent                  10 working days                  Leak under sink

Routine                 12 weeks +                        repair leaking gutter

Cyclical                  1 – 7 years                        Replacement hall door

While Maintenance requests are categorised as above, Housing Maintenance endeavour to respond to all requests as quickly as possible with regard to resources available at the particular time the maintenance request is received.
