MOTION: Councillor E. Higgins

"That this Committee asks the Chief Executive to formally request a meeting with the Lawrence OToole Trust to discuss purchasing the old schoolhouse in Newcastle." 

REPORT:

The Council has had discussions with agents representing the owners of the old school house in Newcastle during which it was make absolutely clear that the property was being made available for a rental agreement and that it was not the intention of the owners to pursue a sale of the property.
