"That this Area Committee provide a report for discussion on the impact the CCTV in St Cuthbert's Park has had to date and furthermore this committee agrees that an extensive clean up of the park is undertaken"

REPORT:                  

The CCTV camera in St Cuthbert’s Park was commissioned on 23rd November 2018. During the same week hedge maintenance works commenced in the park. The works included the removal of vegetation, briars and rubbish in the vicinity of Kilmahuddrick Church. The combination of both works proved effective and displaced a drug issue that was present in the area.

Dumping is still taking place in the park and continuous efforts are being made to remove dumped items as they appear. A clean up was undertaken in the park last week. Further clean up works are planned for the park in the coming weeks.
