QUESTION NO. 12
QUESTION: Councillor R. Nolan
"To ask the Chief Executive to give an update on School Wardens numbers for the Lucan schools. Have the numbers been increased and did Scoil Mhuire in Airlie Heights get any additional Wardens?"
REPLY:
Twelve School Wardens are currently assigned to cover the schools in the Lucan area. Three new school crossing points were added in 2017 covering Adamstown Castle Educate Together, St John the Evangelist National School and Gaelscoil Eiscir Riada.
There are no plans at this point to provide an additional School Warden for Scoil Mhuire in Lucan. However, the Road Safety Officer has recommended small scale works within Woodview Heights to improve safety. He is also liaising with the school on a possible Park and Stride initiative.
