Housing Supply 2018 Out-turn/2019 Projections
The table below shows the following:
- The housing supply targets set for the Council by the Department of Housing, Planning & Local Government for 2018 under the categories of:
- Build - all new properties either constructed or purchased by the Council and AHBs in the County including through Part V;
- Acquisition - all second-hand propeties purchased by the Council and AHBs in the County;
- Leasing - all additional housing stock in the County delivered through the various Leasing schemes;
- Rental Schemes - HAP & RAS
- The housing supply out-turn for 2018 in the County under the relevant categories;
- Reporting on numbers and percentage delivery against targets;
- The Council's projected delivery in 2019 based on the pipeline of activity in:
- our social housing construction and acquisition programmes;
- planned AHB developments and acquisitions;
- Part V delivery;
- estimated delivery under DHPLG leasing schemes in the County;

Key points to note include:
- Overall housing supply performance of 97% of DHPLG target;
- 110% delivery against target in relation to Build, Acquisition & Leasing;
- 125% delivery against Build targets;
- HAP Performance does not include Homeless HAP in the County. 557 Homeless HAP supports delivered in South Dublin during 2018 which was an increase of some 220 on 2017 figures. (Homeless HAP figures are collated under Dublin City Council due to DRHE positioning.)
- Increased delivery on Homeless HAP in 2018 comfortably offset and exceeded perceived HAP under-performance identified above.
- Leasing under-performance due to limited delivery in the County on national leasing schemes;
- Figures do not include any Voids or Re-lets;
