QUESTION NO. 6
QUESTION: Councillor D. O'Donovan
"To ask the Chief Executive how much was spent on the newly acquired properties in White Pines and what the ongoing annual costs will be in respect of the Management Fees?"
REPLY:
The Council purchased 26 x 3 bedroom family homes in the White Pines development as part of its housing delivery programme for 2018. A proposal for the acquisition of the homes which was dealt with by the Housing Agency was approved and funded by the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government. The Council has assigned Circle Voluntary Housing, an Approved Housing Body, who will manage the properties on behalf of the Council. The management fees will be borne by the tenants of Circle Voluntary Housing. A full report on housing supply will be made to the Area Committee each quarter as agreed at the Housing SPC.
