QUESTION NO. 1
QUESTION: Councillor T. Gilligan
"To ask gthe Chief Executive is the landscaping at Rockfield/Naas Road complete? (from the Clondalkin Tidy Towns)"
REPLY:
With regard to the open space at Rockfield / Naas Road works:
- Area has been litter-picked.
- Large shrubs have been cleared from the gateway from the roadway N7 and replaced with smaller shrubs.
- Existing trees are moved back to the woodland area by the N7 fence (with the exception of one tree which was requested to remain from a resident).
- Ivy has been planted along the fence line.
- The ‘woodland area’ has been inter-planted with trees (evergreens included) that will thicken up the treeline along the fence.
- Bulbs have been planted amongst the trees in the large grass open space area at Rockfield.
- At the Naas Road junction the requested footpaths were incorporated as per the request of Clondalkin Tidy Towns; some minor changes were made to the proposals at the Naas Road area at the request of the adjacent residents, however with the exception of some minor items the works are substantially complete.
