MOTION: Councillor E. Higgins

"That this committee gets an update on progress for a Community Centre on Orchard Lane."

REPORT:

The Council's Law Department are in regular communication with the legal representative for the owner and management company of the premises. Essential documentation in relation to compliance and operations of the management company are still outstanding. Receipts of these outstanding documents are essential to allow the Council take legal title to the facility.  The Council is continuing to endeavour to complete this transaction as soon as possible.

The local Community Development team are available to discuss proposals/expressions of interest from interested local community organisations in relation to the future use of the building, which it is anticipated will provide space for community activities for Clondalkin village.
