Memorial for local Suffragettes

An area at the entrance to Sean Walsh Park off the Old Bawn Road has been identified as an area for the recognition and commemoration of the local women suffragettes.  A design and plaque has been prepared using the colours associated with the Suffragettes and outlining the significance of their campaign.  The local Community school has been contacted in order that the students can partake in the preparation and commemmoration.

It is proposed to unveil the memorial in Sean Walsh Park prior to the December Tallaght Area Committee on Monday 17th December.
