QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

"To ask the Chief Executive if there are any plans for junction or traffic management improvement at the junction of Killinniny Road and Ballycullen Road and on adjacent roads in order to address the chronic traffic issues in this area which will continue to worsen with new builds; and to make a statement on the matter?"

REPLY:

NTA as part of Bus Connects are proposing to carry out works on St Colmcilles Way. This will increase road space locally and should have a positive impact. We have yet to receive full details but will keep Members informed.

We will review the traffic signal operation to establish if further adjustment will aid traffic flow.
