MOTION NO. 9

MOTION: Councillor P. Foley

"That this Area Committee requests that the recently redeveloped roundabout at Wellington Lane/Orwell estate is maintained regularly and to a high standard.  Residents are disappointed to see weeds already taking over this newly landscaped roundabout. Having taken so long to redevelop, it would be a terrible waste of resources if the new landscaping was not maintained. Could the manager give a report on the matter."

REPORT:

A maintenance plan is in place for the roundabout at Wellington Lane/Orwell estate. Ongoing works have taken place including weeding and strimming of plants. It is proposed to plant additional bulbs in the roundabout in the next few weeks to provide for Spring colour and interest.

The roundabout will be included in the ongoing schedule for maintenance.
