QUESTION: Councillor C. McCann

"To ask the Chief Executive the progress on Tree Pruning in the Tallaght Central area with particular interest in the Belgard, Kingswood and Balrothery areas?"

REPLY:

"Belgard, Kingswood and Balrothery areas are included on the 2017-2019 Tree Maintenance Programme.  Tree works have been completed to date as part of this ongoing programme at The Dale & Meadows East & West at Belgard Heights.  Crown-lifting and tree removals were completed earlier this year at Kingswood Drive, Sylvan Avenue, Walnut Close and Ashfield estate in Kingswood and the Council's tree maintenance crew is currently completing outstanding tree pruning works at these locations.  Tree surveys have been completed at The Close and The Dale, Kingswood Heights, Sycamore Close and Forest estate in advance preparation for scheduling tree maintenance works over the coming months.  Balrothery estate, The Glade, The Oaks, The Rise, The Heath and The View at Belgard Heights are listed for maintenance in 2018 but it is likely that these locations will be carried over for completion into early 2019."
