MOTION: Councillor M. Johansson
“That this committee agrees to send a message of solidarity to the workers at Lloyd’s Pharmacy in Rowlagh, Neilstown and The Mill, who are engaged in a dispute for union recognition, higher pay, sick pay and holiday pay and an end to zero hour contracts. In addition, to send a letter to the management of The Mill Shopping Centre to express our disappointment with their policy of not allowing striking workers to lawfully picket inside the centre at their place of employment.”
REPORT:
If the motion is approved, a letter will be issued to Lloyd Pharmacy Group and Management of The Mill Shopping Centre for their attention, and when a reply is received, the Committee will be notified accordingly.
