Clonburris SDZ Update

REPLY:

1.0 Making of the Planning Scheme of the Clonburris Strategic Development Zone (SDZ) by South Dublin County Council

From 20 April to 20 May 2018, the public display of the Proposed Material Alterations and Environmental Determinations to the draft Planning Scheme (the Scheme) of the Clonburris Strategic Development Zone (SDZ) was undertaken.

Following the ending of the consultation period, the Chief Executive prepared a Report on all submissions/observations received (the Report) which was submitted to the Elected Members for consideration. 

On 19 June 2018, the Elected Members, having considered the Proposed Material Alterations to the draft Scheme and the Report, decided by resolution to make the Scheme, together with a number of Material and Non-Material Alterations.

The Scheme and accompanying documents, are available to view on the dedicated website (www.Clonburris.ie), County Hall, Tallaght, Civic Offices Clondalkin and local libraries (Clondalkin, Lucan and Tallaght).

Following the Council Meeting, there was a four week appeal period (19 June to 16 July 2018), during which time the Elected Members decision to make the Scheme could be appealed to An Bord Pleanála.

An Bord Pleanála received fifteen appeals in relation to the Scheme.

2.0 Current Stage

On 4 of September 2018, An Bord Pleanála notified SDCC that it has decided to hold an oral hearing (the Hearing) in relation to the Scheme.

3.0 Next Stage

SDCC will be notified by An Bord of the arrangements (date, time, venue) for the Hearing in due course.
