QUESTION: Councillor F. Timmons

"To ask the Chief Executive for an update report on all the Clondalkin Area Part 8s and to provide a timeframe for these and to say when others will be brought to Area Committee to include Eircom Site, Riversdale,  St. Mark's Crescent,  Balgaddy and any other sites that are envisaged to the end of the current Council?  Also to ask within these how many 1, 2 ,3, 4 bed are envisaged?  How many housing units is it estimated can be delivered via the Part 8s?  

REPLY:

On the current housing construction programme there are 4 sites in the Clondalkin area at various stages for the delivery of 128 units over 2018 and 2019.

The next tranche of proposed Part 8 social housing developments includes 4 schemes within the Clondalkin Local Electoral Area. These schemes are proposed to deliver approximately 203 units.

There are a number of additional small infill sites which are currently under assessment to determine if feasible/suitable locations for social housing developments. A report is currently being prepared for the Housing SPC which will be made available at the October 2018 Council meeting with details of these locations.
