MOTION: Councillor J. Graham

"That this Committee agrees that the Council commit to installing 'Children at Play' signs on Rowlagh Avenue & explore the possibility of installing extra ramps near the scene of an accident."

Reply:

In 2017, as part of a comprehensive countywide speed limit review a 30km/h speed limit was introduced in built up areas including Rowlagh Estate. Slow Zone signs were erected at the entrances to estates. These "Slow Zone" signs are a composite sign which also includes the 30km/h speed limit and the "Children at Play" symbol in accordance with the Traffic Signs Manual. In excess of 300 have been provided throughout the county. It is not intended to provide additional children at play signs.

In relation to additional ramps, the request will be considered as part of the 2019 ramp programme.
