MOTION NO. 13

MOTION: Councillor J. Graham

"That this Committee agrees the Council commit to either reinstalling the bespoke railing or similar in the second phase of the Harelawn Park infill or replace the entire railing if this cannot be done."

REPORT:

The railings in question are bespoke and were manufactured specifically for the infill development as part of the overall construction design. It appears that a section of railing was removed without the consent of the Council. The Estate Management Unit are currently trying to make contact with the original contractor who manufactured the railings to obtain a quote and to establish if it is cost effective to replace this section with the identical design of the section of railing that is missing. Alternatively quotes will be sought to replace this section of railing with a similar design subject to budgetary constraints.
