MOTION NO. 24

MOTION: Councillor B. Bonner

"This committee welcomes the plan to build apartments for older people at the Clondalkin Paper Mills Pitch and Putt site on Nangor Road, Clondalkin, but asks that the development be conducted in a way that is in keeping with the Historic Centre of the village which is it so close to and that the development be  sensitive to the River Camac which is adjacent to the site." 

REPORT:

The Council has received an application, SD18A/0271, which refers to a proposed development, situate on lands which include part of the former Clondalkin Paper Mills pitch and putt grounds. This application, for which a decision by the Council remains outstanding, was brought under Part 3 of the Planning and Development Act 2000, as amended.

The Council has determined this Motion as being, substantively, a discussion item on the merits of a live planning application. As such discussion does not form part of the statutory decision-making process, and in accordance with DHPLG Circular PL02/2018, it is inappropriate for Council officials to participate in it

The Council will provide any factual information relating to this application that Councillors require to facilitate comment in the format of formal written submissions or observations.
