3. Update on Tourism Projects.

REPLY:

• The Stables at Rathfarnham Castle Courtyard.

As discussed at Area, SPC and CPG over recent Months we have been completing the final detail with OPW of the request for tender for the Rathfarnham project. Whilst it had been intended to issue the brief during July/August we have just now completed the brief and it issued on Wednesday 5th September. As also outlined previously, this project is subject to an EU procurement process.

• Dublin Mountains Visitor Centre project. 

As members are aware An Bord Pleanala requested additional information in respect of a bird survey and tree felling, to be submitted by 30^th September. The consultants have now compiled the report and following agreement on same with Coillte it will now be submitted to ABP. It envisaged that ABP will then confirm whether or not an oral hearing will be held and a date for same, if a hearing is deemed appropriate.
