Lucan Swimming Pool - Update

REPLY:

The tender package is going through final checks at present. The tender process will be completed during the summer months and it is anticipated that the preferred tenderer information will be available for final sign off by the Department by the end of August. The final construction programme will have to be agreed with the contractor but it will most likely be in the region of 18 to 22 months. The fit out of the leisure centre will commence on completion of the construction contract and will take approximately 3 months.  

Funding has been identified in the 3 year Capital Programme. The majority of the funding is coming from the Council’s own capital resources with the balance through a DTTaS grant which has preliminary approval.

A Multi-Criteria Appraisal report was submitted to the DTTaS and the department confirmed that the project is in compliance with the Public Spending Code.
