COMHAIRLE CONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF LUCAN AREA COMMITTEE
Tuesday, June 26, 2018
MOTION NO. 21
MOTION: Councillor D. O'Brien
"That this Area Committee ask the Chief Executive for a report on the total number of families that are living in Anley Court in Lucan that are currently on the housing list and on HAP or RAS scheme that have been giving a notice to quit the property. What is the Council's plan for these families. Can the Chief Executive make a statement on this issue."
REPORT:
There are no RAS tenancies in Anley Court.
Any tenants living in Anley Court who have received a notice to quit should contact Focus Ireland who will assess each notice to ensure the required notice has been given under legislation. Tenants who had been receiving HAP assistance should contact the HAP office in the Council notifying them of their notice to quit and advice will be given to them regarding continuing to access the HAP scheme. As the time moves closer to the expiry date of their notice to quit, approximately 6 weeks, and if they have not found alternative accommodation, they should contact the homeless clinic.
