MOTION NO. 28

MOTION: Councillor L. O'Toole

"That this Area Committee requests the Chief Executive advise this Council what measures are required to make roads with ramps accessible to buses and to further request that the Chief Executive confirms how the Council liaises with Dublin Bus when ramps are being installed."

REPORT:

South Dublin County Council and the National Transport Authority have standard details agreed for new installation of ramps on existing bus routes. In other words there is no need for consultation where the Council are using a standard agreed detail.

Where new bus routes are introduced on roads that already have non bus ramp standard traffic ramps installed, no change to the ramp takes place in the short to medium term.
