QUESTION NO. 4

QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

"To ask the Chief Executive for an update on the clean up of the following public spaces;

Greenhills Park;

Keadeen Walkway;

Green space to the rear of St Mel’s Avenue.

To ask the Chief Executive if he agrees that all three areas are in need of some ‘TLC’ from the Council, and to ask if they will continue to be maintained and monitored following these clean ups?"

REPLY:

"The areas in question namely Greenhills Park, the Keadeen Walkway and the green space to the rear of St Mel's Avenue are all patrolled regularly by the Council's Litter Warden and the areas are cleaned as required following the warden's patrols and their requests for attention.  In addition to this parks and green spaces are also cleaned in conjunction with the fortnightly grass cutting programme.  The areas listed will be inspected and scheduled for clean up in the coming weeks and will continue to received attention as requested."
