MOTION: Councillor D. O'Donovan
"That the Chief Executive advise how many times the Dog Warden has called to Daletree Place over the past 36 months and how many animals were removed by him or fines issued."
REPORT:
"The Dog Warden carries out regular patrols in the Daletree area - two to three times per week. Any stray dogs seized are brought to the Council's Dog Pound.
At present we do not breakdown the number of dogs seized by area. The list hereunder relates to the numbers of dogs removed countywide.
2015 - 538 dogs entered the pound
2016 - 448 dogs entered the pound
2017 - 453 dogs entered the pound
2018 - 176 dogs entered the pound
However it can be confirmed that there were 6 stray dogs removed from the Daletree area between 1st January 2016 to date.
There were 39 dog fines issued in the period from January 1st, 2016 - 31st May, 2018 in the Daletree area 5 of which were issued on residents of Daletree Place."
