MOTION: Councillor D. Richardson

"That this Area Committee support Hope Tallaght in the work they are doing in supporting people with mental health problems."

REPORT:

"South Dublin County Council will continue it's support of the Hope Tallaght and many other great initiatives accross the County that offer support to those suffering Mental Health Issues. This year, our Health & Wellbeing Week will have three priority themes, Physical Activity, Mental Health and Health & Wellbeing. As part of the week we will be working with local groups to host a Mental Wellbeing Seminar to highlight the ongoing work of local groups throughout the year.

We will also, in Partnership with the LCDC and CYPSC committees, be launching a Healthy South Dublin Strategic Plan, which will include a number of actions under the Mental Health & Wellbeing theme."
