QUESTION NO. 10
QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor
"To ask the CEO to present a report from his officials who attended the most recent meeting organised by the Fettercairn Estate Management Committee, in Fettercairn Community Centre, to deal with issues of concern to the local community in Fettercairn; will he detail actions being taken and will he make a statement?"
REPLY:
“The Council remains committed to Fettercairn Estate Management Committee and in response to concerns raised by residents at the inter agency meetings held regularly, several actions have been taken. Three ramps have been raised at Drumcairn Parade and a further ramp has been added. All fencing at Drumcairn Parade has now been repaired. The Council has liaised with Tallaght Gardai and appropriate action has been taken in relation to Drugs Activity in Fettercairn. Tenancy Warnings were issued where appropriate.
A further regular meeting of Fettercairn Estate Management took place on 1/5/18 and environmental works have begun at Kilmartin and Drumcairn, where residents have begun planting. A damaged bollard has been replaced at Kilcarrig Close. Also paint has been supplied by the Council to cover graffiti and generally enhance the Fettercairn area."
