QUESTION: Councillor C. King

"To ask the CEO for an update on the additional works being constructed at present to make the Abberley Court Hotel and Active Homeless HUB with the relevant associated supports it has been tasked to provide to their tenants?  Can the Chief Executive also indicate what efforts have been made by the Hotel to rid the Homeless accommodation of various infestations of silverfish, other insects and sacbies with such cases being alleged to be rampant by homeless applicants living there." 

REPLY:

"Refurbishment work needed to convert the Abberley from a hotel into a HUB with enhanced facilities and services is expected to be completed by the end of May.  Snagging and finishing is ongoing at present. 

The second phase of the works here is to refurbish the existing bedrooms and bring them to a higher and more modern standard.  This work will continue and will address any onging issues in the rooms as it progresses."
