"That this Committee requests an update on the proposed works to the dog run in Tymon Park." 

REPORT:

"A commitment was given in response to a question on the January 2018 agenda of this area committee that drainage works would be carried out to address the ponding of water at the entrance to the dog run, and that there is a need to relocate the entrance to the dog run to the highest point of the site and away from its current location where ponding of water occurs.  It was agreed that works to address these issues would be carried out early in 2018.  A new entrance to the dog run has now been constructed and this now provides an alternative to entering the run through the area which is wet and soft.  It has not been possible as yet to carry out the drainage works due to the extremely wet winter and the fact that the ground has remained saturated as a result.  It is hoped that these drainage works will commence before the end of May."
