"That this Committee notes that under CS6 SLO1 of the current County Development Plan, a Ballymount Local Area Plan is to be prepared and the process concluded by the end of 2018; this Committee notes with frustration that despite our requests for updates and for the process to begin over the past three years, that the statutory process has not even begun; this Committee notes that staffing issues may cause delays, but that no part of the County should be left behind in proper planning and development; and that this Committee calls for this process to begin immediately."

REPORT:

"It is part of the Planning Department Work Programme to review of the Ballymount Local Area Plan. It is anticipated that work will commence on the preparation of the Ballymount Local Area Plan in Q3 of 2018."
