MOTION: Councillor E. Higgins

"That the Chief Executive investigates the potential of utilising Rural Leader funding to provide a not for profit bus service linking the LUAS in Citywest, Saggart, Rathcoole, Newcastle and Hazelhatch."

REPORT:

 A request has been made to Dublin LEADER Partnership for information on whether Rural Leader funding can be used for providing a bus service as proposed. A response is awaited.

It should be noted that the Council cannot apply for LEADER funding, applications must come from community groups or individuals as an expression of interest. We are currently not aware of any community group prepared to put in an application.
