MOTION: Councillor F. Timmons

"That this Committee asks Environmental Services in South Dublin County Council to clear the gullies/drains twice a year in Oct/Nov and Mar/April to avoid flooding in the Clondalkin area (areas include 9th Lough Road - Outside Waterside Public House, Cherrywood Villas opposite telephone exchange,  Neilstown Road, Palmerstown Woods, corner of Cherrywood Avenue/Old Nangor Road opposite Irish School)."

REPORT:

The Council's road sweeping contract includes for the clearing of road gullies on a yearly basis, with a small number of problematic gullies cleaned twice per year or four times per year.  The gullies in the areas listed will be examined and the proposal to add them to the twice yearly cleaning roster will be raised with the Council's service provider.
