COMHAIRLE CONTAE ÁTHA CLIATH THEAS
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
MEETING OF TALLAGHT AREA COMMITTEE

QUESTION NO 6.
QUESTION: Councillor C. King
"To ask the Chief Executive to provide a full detailed report on the taking in charge issues surrounding the Sitecast Industrial Estate along the Greenhills Road, including what issues are outstanding that is stopping it from being taken in charge, are the council in discussions with relevant people/companies etc to resolve these issues and to provide an estimated timeframe for these issues to be resolved?"
REPLY:
"The Sitecast Industrial Estate can be taken in charge (TIC) once it meets the Council’s Taking-in-Charge Standards. As with any estate, it is a matter for the estate owner(s) to engage a Consulting Engineer to establish the outstanding issues for agreement with the Council. With this information to hand, then the timeframe for completion is a matter for the owners to ascertain.
The Council has not received a request to TIC this estate but if or when it does, then it will engage with the owners as required. The Local Enterprise Office may be able to provide some financial assistance and the owners should engage with the office in this regard."
