QUESTION NO. 8

QUESTION: Councillor P. Gogarty

"To ask the Chief Executive for an update on the next stage of the Clonburris SDZ process and the likely timescale for subsequent meetings as well as an explanation for Councillors and residents as to the types of amendments that can validly be made in respect of changes made at the last stage, ie what restrictions apply; and if a statement can be made on the matter?"

REPLY:

On Tuesday 20^th March 2018, the proposed Material Alterations to the Clonburris SDZ Draft Planning Scheme and the accompanying Environmental Assessment and Appropriate Assessment Determinations (Environmental Determinations) on the proposed Material Alterations were placed on public display from Tuesday 20^th March to Friday 20^th April 2018 inclusive.

Written submissions or observations with respect to the Proposed Material Alterations to the Draft SDZ Planning Scheme, the SEA Determination or AA Determination may be made by Friday 20th April 2018. In accordance with Section 169 (4) of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 as amended, only submissions or observations in relation to the Proposed Material Alterations and/or Environmental Assessment determination and/or Appropriate Assessment determination of implementing the proposed amendments will be taken into consideration.

Two (2) briefings will be held for Elected Members on the proposed Material Alterations to the Clonburris SDZ Draft Scheme in the Council Chamber in County Hall, Tallaght on Thursday 22^nd of March at 6pm and on Monday 9^th of April at 7 pm. The briefing(s) will focus on the public consultation on the proposed Material Alterations and next steps in the process.
