QUESTION NO. 5
QUESTION: Councillor E. Murphy
"To ask the Chief Executive can SDCC please provide an update of remedial works that have taken place in the past year at Dolly's Field in Moyville Estate? Furthermore can the Council please outline what works are currently planned and the timescales of such works also?"
REPLY:
"Works carried out in Dolly's field over the past year include grass cutting, hedge cutting and clean up and removal of bonfire materials and these works will again be scheduled as required during the current year. In addition to these works a 1.2m high railing was installed on top of the low boundary wall to Dolly's field which lies to the right of the entrance road to Moyville as you enter the estate.
The draft public realm improvement works programme for 2018 which was presented to the area committees in February is due to be presented to the meeting of the County Council on Monday March 12th. This draft programme includes for the provision of a perimeter footpath around Dolly's field, and this construction work will be carried out in the current year pending the approval of the works programme by the Council."
