QUESTION: Councillor L. O'Toole

"To ask the Chief Executive to assist and consult with the residents of Paddocks and Hillcrest Estate in relation to making a Part VIII application to install a permeability between to the two areas. This application will ensure that an ideal location will be sought and allow for safer and easier access in and out of the estates?"

REPLY:

The delivery of a permeability link to formalise a designed pedestrian and cycling route between the Paddocks and Hillcrest housing estates may, depending the scale and cost of the works, require consent under Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended). The Public Realm Department would design, consult and deliver this project through the Capital Works Programme.
