QUESTION: Councillor L. O'Toole

"This Committee asks the Chief Executive for an update on the opening of the Adamstown Sports/Community Hall and to also report on the set up of the Management board?"

REPLY:

The Council's Law Department is currently progressing the completion of the Contract of Sale for the new Community Facility and have advised that the Contract of Sale must be complete before the Council can take ownership of the building. A number of key documents are still outstanding from the Vendor's Solicitor and these have been requested by the Law Department.

Community Services and Architectural Services have had a number of site meetings with the Developer and Construction Company and the completion of remaining snag list and M&E handover is continuing.

The Local Community Development Team have had a series of discussions with key stakeholders from the local community, DDLETB, Adamstown Community College and Lucan Youth Services to identify and agree representation on the new Management Company and work has commenced to draft up Memo and Articles of Association.
